Kencot Village Hall

The Village Hall, also known as The Carter Institute, was built in 1911 as a reading-room for men in the village of Kencot.
It was financed by a bequest from Amelia Carter.

The Trustees are the rector and churchwardens of
St Georges Church, Kencot:

The Management Committee is responsible to the Trustees of the Amelia Carter Charity for ensuring that The Village Hall is properly maintained and made available for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Kencot.

The Management Committee is also responsible for the running of the neighbouring allotments. 

Facilities of the Village Hall

The hall consists of a main room, kitchen, storeroom, ladies and gent’s toilets and a toilet for the disabled. The hall is fully accessible.

The hall is used weekly:
  • Monday - Art Group
  • Friday   - Pilates
 
Twice a month:
  • Saturdays - Music Group
  • Mondays   - Morris Dancing
  • Thursdays - Ukelele Group
 
Each month:
  • Thursday - Coffee Morning
  • Thursday - Kencot Embroidery Group
Kencot Village:
Meetings, Clubs  and Organisations: £10

Private Hire:
Kencot & Broadwell Residents: £15 per day              
Others: £30 per day 

Available to Hire for use off the premises – crockery, tables and Chairs (8)
